Episode 10 of Hay on Sky

Our guests on the final episode for 2008 (sniff, sniff, whaaaaaaa…Yes, we’re sad! Despite the rain and mud! We’ll miss it here in Hay-on-Wye!) were:

World-renound photojournalist Don McCullen who talks about his new book of incredible photos, chess supremo Garry Kasparov on how he thinks life imitates chess and Carl Bernstien, the Watergate break-in journalist and successful author who recently published A Woman In Charge: The Life Of Hillary Rodham Clinton all join Mariella Frosrtup on the Sky Arts studio stage.

Our roving Hay-on-Wye reporter Dom Joly takes to the hills (well, the Black Mountains actually!) with his hero Dan Cruikshank and finds out some suprising history about the area – as well as calling each other ‘you ass’ a lot…

The musical performance is by the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britian. These guys are really worth watching – it’s one performance where it’s okay to laugh as soon as you realise what’s going on…

We really hope you enjoy tonight’s final show from the field. It’s been a pleasure to once again bring you 10 straight days of exclusive broadcast coverage, interviews, music and laughs and we’d like to thank you for watching. Hope to see you back at Hay-on-Sky next year!
